Meteors
Studied with video and radio.
How it works

Meteors (shooting stars) can reflect radio signals from transmitters beyond the horizon.

Recording video and radio at the same time lets both signals be compared in time.

To analyse the videos automatically, I developed VAMOS+, software for meteor detection.

Detection relies on an AI trained specifically on meteors.
What is VAMOS+?
Reliable.
Thanks to a specialised AI, VAMOS+ finds up to 40% more meteors than a conventional algorithm without AI.
Open source.
The entire source code of VAMOS+ is public, for more transparency.
Fast.
VAMOS+ analyses up to 8 frames per second on a CPU, and up to 20 with a GPU.
Free.
VAMOS+ is free for any use.
